1/15/12: SCORE Season Starts Off Well
The Strobel Motorsports #94 Trophy Truck entered the 2012 Season with high expectations and after a strong 4th place finish on Saturday and a 3rd place podium finish on Sunday those loft goals are still very much within reach. Without ever racing the Laughlin Desert Challenge event previously, Steve & JT executed a very nice race plan remaining a bit conservative on Saturday to insure they had a strong working race car for Sunday. That approach has the #94 team sitting in a very strong 3rd place in SCORE Trophy Truck standings after 2 of the 5 race series is in the books. "We're ecstatic about the way the Laughlin weekend played out" said Steve Strobel. "We're hopeful to be able to leverage this success and take it with us into San Felipe in March".

12/30/11: Team Loses Crew Pioneer Bill Rice
Core team member, early off-road racing veteran and Colorado Motor Sports Hall of Famer Bill Rice died on Thursday, 12/29/2011 in a snowmobiling accident in Wyoming. If you trace the Strobel Motorsports off-road racing history Bill Rice along with Dwight Strobel were the original team pioneers to begin racing off-road races in Mexico in the early 70’s. Our team owes a great deal to Bill and he will be greatly missed.

For any friends or fans that are interested in sending any sort of memorial Bill's family has requested that any sort of gesture be sent in Bill's name to DRAWfasthelp.org. DRAW's motto is "Fast Help For Fast Friends" and their sole mission is to provide financial and emotional support to qualified individuals involved in a drag racing accident at a track. You can also email Tiffany and request memorial stickers and any donations you make for the stickers will also go to DRAWfasthelp.org. Thanks for any support you lend in this area.

Drivers Steve Strobel and Dale Ebberts along with Co-Driver John "JT" Tondro captured the overall win in the Vegas To Reno Friday night - winning the Longest Off-Road Race in the United States. This is a significant acheivement in desert racing, the NFL equivalent of winning the NFC or AFC Championship (with the Baja 1000 analagous to the "Super Bowl"). Thanks so much to all our sponsors and all the crew members who made this victory possible. Visit our media page for BITD Vegas 2 Reno pics & videos.
