1/6/14: 2014 Season Campaign Opens with Parker 425 on Feb 1st 2014
The Strobel Motorsports team is already hard at work preparing to launch their 2014
race campaign. Steve Strobel will take the team to the always challenging BITD Parker 425 in Parker AZ
on Feb 1st. "We are ready for an even stronger 2014 with some really challenging races on our horizon"
said team Owner/Driver Steve Strobel. "Our goal is to chase for podium finishes at all of the major
race events in 2014 and we are going to work harder than ever to be pursue that objective."
12/18/13: Team Finishes 8th in BITD
After all the dust settled on the 2013 Best-In-The-Desert Trophy Truck series
the Strobel Motorsports team finished in a solid 8th place. "Overall we had a good year and we
developed some new technology for the truck that we believe will put us in a strong position to
run very hard in 2014." Steve Strobel said. "We had a couple of races where the desert caught
up to us which prevented us from a stronger points run. However we're looking to double down
our efforts for next season!"
12/5/13: Tough Finish in Henderson 250
The BITD Henderson 250 got off to a very chilly start and for the #94
team unfortunately the race result was also a bit colder than planned. The #94 truck was
running strong and was picking up competitors until a transmission failure led to a DNF.
Steve Strobel said "We'll go into the off-season and evaluate where we can make our race
program even stronger and be ready to compete hard in 2014".
8/7/13: Ready for Vegas to Reno Race Aug 16th
The #94 Strobel Motorsports crew has been clicking wrenches and working hard prepping the
Big Red machine for the grueling BITD Vegas To Reno race. This is the longest off-road race in the U.S. and
the team knows what it takes to win this event having finished first overall in the V2R race in 2011. "Everyone
on the crew is excited for this one" said owner/driver Steve Strobel. "We have the new Kroyer motor in
which will produce some additional horsepower and we've done some additional R&D which we believe will
really propel the team to a new level. We can't wait to get out there and drop the hammer!"
3/26/13: Heartbreaking End to Mint 400
Steve Strobel and the #94 Strobel Motorsports team had moved up from their 25th starting
position to as high as 6th overall at the grueling Mint 400. However, during the final lap the rear shocks
began to face which led to a rear-end housing break ending the team's run a mere 30 miles from the finish
line. The team is back at the shop already prepping for the next BITD Silver State 300 race on May 5th.
2/2/13: Strobel Motorsports 4th In Season Opening Parker 425
Picking up right where Strobel Motorsports left off in 2013, Steve Strobel and Dale Ebberts piloted the #94 Ford F-150 Trophy Truck to a 4th place finish at the always challenging BITD Parker 425 race. After qualifying the truck in the 17th spot, the team knew they would have their work cut out for them. However, with some skillful driving and some strong pit crew work the big red truck finished in 4th place, some 11 minutes behind the race winner. Next up is the BITD Mint 400 on March 21st.
